Astro session 27 July

Today, we learnt about Mars and its moons. We learnt that Mars is very different from how it was like a long time ago. There is evidence of possible lakes and rivers on Mars a long time ago, and recently, scientists have found evidence of a river underneath Mars' surface. I have also learnt details about Mars, such as its gravity, axial tilt and its temperature. One of Mars' moon is moving towards Mars at a rate of 2 metres per year, possibly colliding with Mars in the future. The other moon of Mars is moving away from it.

Currently, colonising Mars would be quite difficult due to various factors such as Mars' gravity and temperature. There have been various Mars missions, such as the Phoenix spacecraft.
